There is something about fall that stirs up adventure in the soul – maybe it’s the vivid colors, the beautiful landscaped, the reflection of color on the water, or maybe, it’s the adventurous and beautiful trails. The crackle of the leaves under your feet, as you walk through the forest, the smells of apple cider and campfire in the air, the cool breeze that runs through your hair. It is the perfect season to roll the windows down and explore the roads less travelled on.

Every fall, Jeep owners, and those alike, get their Jeeps ready in the anticipation of the ultimate fall off-roading season. We’re trading screen time for scenic byways, comfort zones for winding mountain roads and hidden gems. Whether you are craving high-adrenaline, narrow shelf roads, or a calm scenic drive; this fall is your chance to chase adventure where adventure leads, and we are here to help!

1     Great Smoky National Park

Located in Tennessee and North Carolina, and only a short drive away from Bulldawg Manufacturing, is the home of the Smokies. The peak season of fall is from mid-October to early November. There are a variety of fall activities including hiking, pumpkin patches, and visiting cozy little towns. There are many locations to see the beautiful foliage, but we recommend taking scenic drives like Foothills Parkway and Blue Ridge Parkway.

2.       New River Gorge National Park

Located in West Virginia you will find the home of New River Gorge. You can experience the peak season in mid-October. Some fun fall activities will include rock climbing, food and music, hiking, and so much more. The Grandview Overlook and the Endless Wall Trail are two perfect places to experience the fall in West Virginia.

         

3.       Rocky Mountain National Park

Located in Colorado, is the home of the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. This nearly perfect fall landscape can best be seen during Late September. You can enjoy the Rockies through hiking, scenic drives, and horseback riding. According to the locals, Emerald Lake and Lake Haiyaha are the best places to see the fall foliage!


4.       Hudson Valley

In the beautiful state of New York, you can find the Hudson Valley. The Hudson Valley runs along the Hudson River from Westchester Country to Albany, and it can be enjoyed best from mid-September to Late October. Visitors can enjoy the fall landscapes through hiking, apple picking, and the Catskill Mountain Railroad train rides. Some popular sports include the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park, and the Kaaterskill Falls.


5.       Manchester, Vermont

In the beautiful city of Manchester, Vermont, you can find beautiful vivid fall colors from mid-September to mid-October. Some hidden gems in the Manchester area include the Lye Brook Falls and local orchards. Some fun fall activities for visitors are bike rides through the village, the Prospect Rock Trail, and many historical monuments.


6.       Sequoia National Park

Located in the state of California, you can find the Sequoia National Park. The best time to visit the giant sequoias is mid to late September. Some fun outdoor adventures you can find here include hikes through the giant forest, Moro Rock Trail, and stargazing.


7.       Tahquamenon Falls State Park

Located in Michigan, you can find the fall scenery in Tahquamenon through mid-September to early October. Some key activities here in the state park are hiking the River Trail, watching wildlife, and getting on the water with a rowboat!


8.       Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park can be found in the heart of Montana and is a beautiful fall destination in the month of September. Some outdoor activities to experience include campfires, stargazing, fishing, and many different hiking trails. Hidden gems located in the park are the Rising Sun Boat Tour and the Kintla Lake.
